Welcome back to the best used car buying and selling site on the ‘net!
First, thank you all for joining us on this journey as we work diligently to show everyone that we don’t have to settle for all the poor marketplaces and interfaces out there when just trying to find that next DD or toy.
Thank you for helping spread the word that we are making car buying and selling fun again!
All the other sites treat your wants and needs as an afterthought, but not us……we are making car buying and selling the main focus.
Wyndscreen was built by car people for car people.
Now, that does not mean that we can drop our guard when buying and selling used cars on Wyndscreen. Unfortunately for every procedure put in place, some scum are our there trying to get around it.
On previous blog posts, we have outlined a number of ways to protect yourself from scams and spam, as well as ways to inspect the used car to ensure you get a good product.
–All of that still stands–
We have recently seen a video uploaded where a seller met a group of people to show his car. The seller commented that he spoke with one main person while the other members of the group walked around the car. Once they went on a test drive, the seller noticed odd sounds and smells, things that weren’t there earlier. It was noted that the seller had a well maintained and tight car for sale.
After the test drive, they opened the hood and the potential buyer group began pointing out oil spray under the hood and oil coming out of the exhaust.
Now, the seller was getting very suspicions of the group, as there were no oil leaks before the meetup.
The seller mentions that he got nervous that his car was breaking down and almost sold it for a super low price, but thankfully his rational thoughts kicked in and he stopped the negotiations with the scammers and told them to get lost.
It became clear that while the seller was talking with one guy, the others were sabotaging his car to try and convince the seller that his car was crap and to sell it cheap.
-NEVER LET YOUR GUARD DOWN-
It’s unfortunate that there are scum out there trying to take advantage of honest people, so whatever the reason, if you feel uncomfortable as a buyer or seller, end the negotiations and walk away.
There are millions of used cars for sale every day. A good one will come along.
