Used Car Dealerships try to screw you over?!

 Of course!

 Most everyone knows this, but not everyone….yet.  We are working on that.

 

From the pushy tactics to low ball your trade-in, using in house financing, not budging on the price of the car, to up-selling warranties and assistance deals….it never ends

 

And of course, they have to make money too….everyone’s gotta eat, right?…..so they talk about their families and kids to soften you up.  It works most of the time.

 

Low trade in values (sometimes they won’t even accept what you have!), undercoating and rustproofing scams, potential higher financing charges, fast talking salesmen, mountains of paperwork, and free doughnuts make the entire process slimy and confusing.

 

Thankfully there is a simple answer.  

 Sell your car yourself and look for a privately owned used car to buy.

 

Not only will you make more money on your car (selling private isn’t that hard, for sure no harder than dealing with dealerships) and if you find a good privately owned used car to buy, the pushy tactics won’t be there.

 

Don’t forget, sites like Carvana, Carmax, Givemethevin, and others are DEALERS.  They will offer you a lower price so they can resell.  They win, you don’t.
